This photo was sent to me of a Guy 4 x 4 with a wooden cab, presumably to enable testing, supposedly one of six built in 1940. I would say it was a three-tonner, and had a Gardner 6LW engine. One of these was reputedly used by Monty in North Africa which would suggest that it was an ACV chassis, and thus either a Guy Lizard ACV or as David Fletcher suggested, a hybrid Matador-type chassis and armoured cab with Lizard rear body. I could onyl suggest that it was one of the batch H 5330808 - 5330819 S.4882 for TRACTOR 4 X 4 A.TANK (6-pounder) and also 15-cwt. G/S.

Any ideas please? Oh! David says that Bart did an article while back and had a photo presumably the same one. Was that in W & T?
