'43 f15a
My Son Alan and I brought his newly purchased F15a home on Saturday. It is a very complete unrestored and only slightly altered truck. Biggest item missing are the seats, but it has side curtains. The box even has the right tail gate and it shouldn't be too hard to remove the modifications.
We have a couple of projects in the shop now so this one will be on the back burner for a bit. Hard not to strart now! Can one of you tell me how to attach an image file? Thanks

Posting images
Hi John, congratulations and welcome to the forum.
There's a detailed section in the forum on posting images here. Looking forward to seeing some images, although as you'll see you can only post one image at a time unless you're linking them from another site.

Picture attachments
I can open a picture file at a size under 102 kb and it appears in the attach file "bar" but some step seems to be missing??
Thanks, John

Why CMPs are like puppies?
Because they follow you home and then its "it followed me home can I keep him?"

M.G.
Hi John
Is that a M.G. Magnette in the left of frame? I used to have a similar Wolseley 4/44 - what a lovely car.

Box conversion
Really nice looking rig, superb starting point. Interesting box conversion, quite useful. I like the cat in the background D2?

excellent john
glad to see you made it over here. i have not posted much on this bb in the last year but i check it out once a week for sure.
as for the toys what a day you had, bringing the d2 home and the f15a all at the same time. talk about one busy kid in a candy store. this bb is amazing how much these guys know on the canadian stuff. clive from shilo visits once in a while, he will be able to help. also ask dick enns for the books on that truck. i gave him 3 books on it that my grandpa had. it was only 22 years ago, so he might still have them on the top of the fridge. thansk www.kingofobsolete.ca |

Thanks Guys, and Hi King. Waiting for Dick to show up wondering if I stole his truck.
Phil, lots of ugly stuff has followed me home over the years, even KoO! Snowtractor, the D2 is a 1938 3J just got it outof the shop after 2 years Fun snowmobile! Kieth that is a 1957 ZB Magnette. I have most of the removeable panels from another one and intend to put it through the shop one of these winters. It was a nice little car, that has been in my family since 1959. Hope it will be again. Kind of rare out here on the prairies. I'll find some time to look for serial #s and post a few more pictures of the CMP this weekend. Thanks

The truck seems to be fairly complete. There are a few "farm mods that shouldn't be too hard to rectify.
The box is the worst but at least its there. The rear fender wheel wells are missing. Are they rectangular on the inside or tapered? The inner front corners of the frame have had the gussets notched out ?? perhaps to get at the radiator?? Its hard not to start right in but there are too many projects ahead of this one so I will constrain myself to research for now. Have been back through the postings and found lots of information. Great Forum Thanks

King Alan is wearing out the cabinet blaster cleaning parts for the panel.
The CMP came from John Symons of Souris. I can hardly wait to work on it. Brings a whole new meaning to SUV

wow eh!!!
john, so it was in souris, do you think i was part of the air training airports around brandon. that would be really neat too. are you ging to strip it right down and work on it, or just start patching????
as for allan and GIRLS, you better get that boy interested, because you will need a grandson to enjoy the projects with. how about the motor, remember my dad (SIR HENRY) has been collecting flat heads for quite some time. so you better talk to him, he can use the money now that he is retired from the colleage, LOL thansk and keep them pictures coming |

Hanno, I've been reading back through the posts and find your's interesting. I've had my eye on a '44 c15a for some time now but although it is mostly there as a cab and chassis, it is not the truck this one is.
I'm going to keep watching it with hope. A pair of CMPs has to be more fun than one! Thanks King, I will be in touch with "Flat Head Hank" to be sure. See Yah
