Default Ford starter solenoid

I have a late (July 1944) Cab13 F60S LAAT. Can anyone tell me where to fit the starter solenoid please? It cannot be far from the starter motor as I have a NOS lead to connect the two and it is only about 9 inches long.

Default Starter solenoid mounting position Ford CMP

Hi Alastair,

From a F15 Drivers Manual. Inside right frame rail near cab mounting brackets. Would think all Ford CMP chassis solenoid mounting points would be the same.

Cheers,

Default F60s

Thanks, Jacques. My driver's manual does not have that diagram. I will go and check on the truck.
