Speaking Engagement - The Calgary Mosquito
Date: September 30, 2023 Location: Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Hamilton Ontario Time: 1 pm Admission: Regular admission rates apply to visit the museum - Adult (18 – 64) $16, Senior (65+) $14, Student (13 – 17) $14, Youth (6 – 12) $11. Free admission for museum members and children 5 & under. Details: Not only is Richard de Boer the Calgary Mosquito Society's Founder and President in charge of the City of Calgary's Mosquito (and Hurricane), he's been watching out for this aircraft since he was a teenager. Come to Richard's engaging presentation to learn this Mosquito's journey - from World War II, to how it went from post-war England to Calgary, why it was twice on offer to collectors in the UK for over $1.5M, to its current home where hundreds of volunteer aviation enthusiasts are finally seeing it restored.
