Forget whats the back ground , nice Sugga (Always liked them after seeing one at auction in 1986, only heard of that one here in Aust.)
As for the Humber, what can I say, I liked them so much I went and bought one. That makes 3 yellow ones I have seen pics of in the UK, is it a common colour, or am I seeing the same one over and over?

Default Woomera

I came across this picture whilst researching my jeep which was known to have been used at Woomera as part of the Long Range Weapons Project in the late 40's and early 50's. Nothing definitive on the jeep unfortunately (no ARN visible) but there is what appears to be a CMP in front of the jeep behind the rocket. Also what appears to be a generator or workshop trailer.

Default Pat 11 or 12 C15

Looks like a Pattern 11 or 12 with the top and windshield removed. At first I thought that it might be a Pat 13 because of the flat aspect of the doors to the body of the truck but on looking closer I think the left door is part way open what makes me think it is a Chev is the shape of the overflow tank, what little of it can be seen.

But what throws me is the front hubs it almost looks like it has the later stile lift flanges.

Cheers Phil

My first guess was a cab 11 or 12 but on closer inspection the hinges are on the front of the doors so it's a cab 13. It's a 4x2 15 cwt with the 2B1 box so it'll be a 1942 model. The front hubs are about the same size as the rear axle flanges so it's a Chev. The overflow tank says cab 13 Chev too.

Default I think David is correct

David

On enlargement and re-examination of the photo I think you are correct about the door hinge location and the water recover tank. Plus that little item at the top rear of the door is in the correct location for the door latch handle. Which would make it a Pattern 13.

A higher resolution version of the photo would show more detail.

Whats your guess 2 or 4 wheel drive? Flat line of the front axle would seem to me to indicate 2.

Interesting puzzle Keith.

Cheers Phil

This photo is a recent discovery, during WW2 the canterbury motor company in Kent were employed as a army school of mechanics. In the main they dealt with Rootes group products but as this photo reveals instructions were also issued on CMP trucks, see the No 12 cabs along the back

Default Athens, bloody December of 1944..

Between the crowd of the protesters and the Greek Parliament, clearly visible is a C15, surely British Army.
December of 1944, few weeks after liberation..
