Default Ford lp2 carrier instrument panel help

Any tips on how to remove the pointer needle from speedometer and the do's and don't when putting on the new sticker I'm sure you only get one go at it . also does any one have a spare pointer needle , they can sell me , as my one has the long end broken off and missing . Dale

Dale, there are many better than me to speak up here. The needle is a press fit on the shaft usually.
Where did your sticker come from, and which one is it please?

Hi Lynn . The sticker came for Colin Jones , not sure where he got it from ? maybe he can fill us in , it has the gear change segments and goes up to 60 mph .. I googled how to remove pointer needles form speedometers , looks like a fork and flat screw driver leavering from underneath is the way to go . but any other help from someone who has done it would be great . Default Speedo Pointer Removal

The flat bladed screw driver either side ,pops it off, works every time. To reinstall press on with a finger to the centre, making sure you have it pointing at the right location. Also be careful handling the numbers on the barrel as they tend to flake off if touched, greese all the little worm gears to, as they are nearly always seized, other wise you will end up breaking the speedo cable if you miss doing these gears.
