This was in the Toronto Star today.

No disrespect intended, Steve, but I'd rather not go into this in detail right now; while I don't know Ken Globe personally, I would probably know his face... but I do know Ken Lee - he's a member here as well - and this is a nasty business from any angle, and definitely not good for the museum either, or for that matter, for this hobby. Christ, what a waste.

Thanks,

Geoff

This is an unfortunate situation indeed, with respect to the tragic accident at the Oshawa Museum.
I am the President of our local car club and one thing that is first and foremost on each and every member's mind, and especially the executive is the issue of liabilty and public responsibility.
On more than one occasion the subject has come about as we hold numerous events, essentially open to members and invited guests only. This comes up when we hold our annual poker run for sure, and during our regular operation.
As we are all adults and make our own decisions and face the consenquences of our actions, so far we have been fortunate to keep our events safe and without trouble.
It is always troubling to hear when things go awry, certainly when one loses a life.
Obviously there are many questions here that need answers and God forbid the authorities deem it neccessary to shut down or condemn the activities that the rest of us hold dear, with respect to the Museum and it's members and friends.
Unfortunately the general public sees things as black or white and the actions of one individual should not be held against the rest .
I'm am sorry to hear the loss of a fellow member, my condolences to the man's family.
Best of luck to the Oshawa Museum, I hope you don't need it.

Well said, Chris.

Hope the worst (i.e. seizure of all assets) won't happen.
