L/F M100 Trailer for restoration
Looking for a WW2 Willys or Bantam Jeep trailer to go with my 1945 MB or any parts of said trailer.
Any condition considered if the price is right. Looking for next winters restoration project. Looking for one in Canada preferably in Ontario. Please email or message me. Thanks Sean Orillia, Ontario Last edited by Sean Dunnage; 30-05-20 at 21:11. |

postwar M100
Sean,
Are you looking for the postwar M100 with grab handle at each corner of the body? Trailer, 2 Wheel, 1/4 Ton, M100 (G747). From TM 9-2330-201-14 April 1972.

Sean, a wartime jeep trailer would be more appropriate for your jeep if you’re trying for a wartime impression. Of course MBs were also used post war until replacement by the M38.
M100 trailers and reasonably priced is difficult. They are getting harder to find, especially on decent shape. A rusted out hulk will cost you way more in the long run between time, parts and frustration than paying up for a good one. Personally I’d look south for one, but then again we have a current exchange rate over $1.40 to a USD.

Yup
I meant the WW2 style trailer. I had been looking at a bunch of M100s all morning and my train of thought was elsewhere when typing.
Of course if I get an M100 I can always replace the body with a wartime one. Repops are available locally. Is the correct number for the WW2 1/4 ton trailer T3? Last edited by Sean Dunnage; 30-05-20 at 21:12. Reason: missing info |

I have more often seen the term "MBT" used for the WW2 trailers, although the model T3 is also correct. I believe it depended on who made the trailer. Willys was MBT and Bantam was T3. There were some minor variations between the two.

Wartime Jeep Trailers
I used to see the odd U.S. wartime manufactured ex-JNA Jeep trailer languishing in a farmer's field while driving around Bosnia some 20+ years ago.
