Default Carrier rear view mirror

On the look out for a mirror, I can make the stem and base plate out of a track pin, but need the actual lens.

Cheers

Richie

Richard,
Do a search in the carrier section under carrier mirror. I am sure you will find what you are looking for. Oh, Thanks for all the help with the 90 degree elbow info. that you were looking into. Have a good one.
Doug

You want a lucas type 160 mirror. They make good chrome repro ones, you'll just have to paint over the chrome or sand blast it off. Desmo also make the same mirror but the assembly bolts are on the rim rather than the back face. I've seen WD-> marked ones of both. A repro will be cheaper than an original.

My feeling is Desmo were only seen on British vehicles.

I've got all the stem info if needed.

The desmo ones are a quarter of the price of the Lucas.... Were the mirror lens's flat or convex ?

Should both be convex. They're almost identical except for the screws.

Thanks Ben, they make them in both flat glass and convex... Just wanted to get the right shape.

Will just cut down a track pin methinks.. And weld it to some flat bar.
