Default Parts Wanted by poor MV vehicle restorer

Hi guys

I am hoping someone has a spare drive cog that fits on the main shaft of the gearbox to fit an english carrier curently under rebuild.

I am prepared to swap, buy or even manufacture the missing bit if someone will lend me one to copy.

6 splines internally, and 16 on the OD.

I am also looking for Matilda Motors complete or in bits or part their of.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and you will have a permanate seat at our BBQ.

Kind regards
Matt McMahon

Default Dis One?

You need one like this? It is not from an English Carrier, but a Canadian one, if that might do.

You better send me your address.

Do you know Bob Mosseley, or Keith Webb? Do you have "Year of the Carrier" DVD?

Hi Stuart and Lynn

Thanks for your replys, Stuart, I have sent you a PM regarding the information requested, I have searched Hi and Low for one of these. As it happens I once had lots of english and LP1 parts but disbanded them to other vehicle restorers over the years and left myself short. Its always the way.

I do know Bob Mosseley and Keith Webb. and I do have the "Year of the Carrier" DVD?. doesn't everybody !.

All assistance greatly appreciated, I may have something you need.

Kind regards
Matt

An interesting question Stewart, are the British and Canadian "coupling gears" the same ?
We have in stock only the Canadian ones, part no. LV7/FD C01UC-4811C

Default Sorry

Hi Mat, sorry about that - not meaning to offend anyone but we assumed that you obtained one from Dirk. I sent several emails to him but was unable to raise any response.

Persistence elsewhere paid off.

Cheers

Phill

I know how you feel. I have been trying to get a response from an Invoice I sent on E-bay.

lads dont email him, ring him, he never responds to emails, as he is exceptionally busy... the MV stuff is a hobby rather than a full time business, i am not making excuses for the guy but iff you want something go to www.lwdparts.com and ring him......... mind some of the prices quoted have been questionable in the past....... i guess business is business as they say.

I know Dirk was out of the country last week, as I was talking to him in person at the OMVA show.
