Looks like an old KRATZ unit. They were originallu built for the M37s, transferred to the chev 5/4 tons, and then stuck around through the 90s languishing in compounds. I never saw one mounted in an LSVW. I think with the TCCCS they were finally disposed of.

Prefair had them a couple years ago. If they were only closer I would have bought one.

I'm surprised any of those made it Surplus considering how many are now "Smoke Shacks" on Bases everywhere

Robin, those will definitely give your M100 a run for its money for "Longest Serving MV", or at least until we all die from Lung Cancer.

Default Shelters

The shelters you see are for the M37 and had different uses. We have such a unit and there was a bi switchboard unit in it, where I am going to in PA , Dan has a unit and it houses a teletype complex. He has it for sale at $800.
We torn the switchboard unit out of ours and Marc set up a small radio repair and storage unit. He then mounted the unit into a Pioneer trailer that had the roof doors removed. It has a really good heater in it and once plugged in it heats the unit to toasty warm in a short time even when it is really cold outside. Gilles
