Air compressors
Just a heads up on anyone considering purchasing an air compressor for use with either a air blasting cabinet or just normal sandblasting. There are a number of "NEW" large capacity industrial air compressors for sale on Aus Ebay.
I have purchased a petrol version - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-UNIMA...item2578c59ac5 The seller also has three phase versions - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-UNIMA...item25758c2ae4 They are high volume 42cfm (1180L free air delivery) and as they are currently selling for under $1000 each they were a bargain hard to pass up, even with the freight costs they are some of the best priced compressors of this capacity that I have come across. |

Sounds good
At least with a new unit, you can have confidence safety wise , e.g., the pressure vessel will not blow up and kill you . I would be interested to know how many litres per hour it uses ? The downside may be the Chinese ? motor . If the motor dies , you could maybe replace it with a Honda unit . I had a 100CFM WW2 vintage Ingersol Rand , the lend lease version fitted on the Aust. chasisis with 18" wheels , but the air receiver on it was dodgy and old and likely to explode Mike

AGR Machinery has had some bad stories circulate re honouring their warranty and after sales service. I've never dealt with them, so have no opinion either way, but there is a lengthy thread on WHIRLPOOL about them.
