Question Covered battery box

Search for info, CMP 2k1 radio van battery box pix.
I once was told that the FAT had a armored covered battery box. would this be the same as for a van?
I have the latches for the top, the cover was with notches or ?
How many latches used?. I assume the 2 batteries each had their own box.
Were the battery boxes wood or metal?

Default Picture

I have been searching for years to get photos of the wire 5 but they seem rather rare. I don't know why. In any case I found a sketch of the interior somewhere online. Hope this will be of some assistance!

Default covered battery box

Hi Craig, thanks for the reply. The sketch was done by Bruce Parker.
It is with his help that my WT will be a heart stopper.
the box was previously lined with 10 test/beaver board, it is now lined with
mahogany door skins finished with Linseed oil. Shellac will flake in time and is very expensive. these are materials used during ww2 in different Vans.
Another question, being a AL box was a Bus bar used and then grounded to the frame? dg
