16 in chevron pattern tires
Has anyone had any experience with the 16" chevron pattern tire Coker Tire sells. I realize they are not an "approved for highway use" tire. Just looking for ratings or recommendations.

chevron tires
If they are the ones made by STA, I got mine from Wallace Wade 10 years ago.
I've put at least 20,000 k on mine and while worn down i've never had trouble with the tire. learned my lesson with cheap Chinese tubes but never a problem with the tires. rebalance every few years. |

Hammond barn experience is that they mount easily on HUP rims but are a tighter (just a bit of ingenuity and stubbornness needed) fit on other "real CMP" rims due to the differing rim taper profile.

I have put a number on various CMP rims as well as on the 25pr artillery rims. They look slightly balloonish due to the larger size, but overall present well. I use moderate skiving to get them to work.

Thanks for the input gentlemen. I may be throwing a set on my new ride.
