The original number (A-875) indicates that it is not from the more usual numerical series. I will try to get there this week to order the original negative and take a copy photo.

Is this the photo you are referring to?

Glad that's it. I went by Archives this afternoon and tried to look this up on the microfiche. Turns out that all the microfiche from A374 yo A11863 are mssing. Chances are that the negative still exists but it will take a couple of weeks to order.
As John has posted a really good shot I won't go through the bother.

Went by Archives yesterday and the negatives that I had ordered were waiting for me. The reason that the negative numbers were missing is that I was looking in the "Army" series but they were actually in the "Navy" series - of course!!
I also found a couple of other interesting photos from that same exercise;

Default Canadian Beaches

Clive -

Excellent pics !

Can you confirm the BARV serial as T-151059 ? Which Beach Group would it have been attached to ?

Now over to the Rams...

Great pics, thanks for digging them up!

Re. "that same exercise" - now, the original caption for the Ram Command/OP tanks was "Along the hard sands of this Normandy Beachhead manned by the Royal Canadian Navy Beach Commandos roar tanks for the Canadian Army 20 July 1944". Do you mean operation instead of exercise?
