Wireless Set
Hey guys, I've yet to get it out of my trunk but it is a Wireless set 19 Mark 111, with manuals and an extra box of tubes. Comes with antenna, and from what the guy told me, it still fires up.
Email me for pics,I've no idea what this thing is worth.I was going to use it for a background prop for my interviews,but it is way too heavy to be lugging around by myself... It was donated to me so I will let it go for the highest donation to help fund my Memories Revovered Project. Cheers!

By the way,it is marked "1944' on the front plate. Did these radio's always have the seemingly"Russian"lettering on the dials as well?I just thougth I'd ask...
I'll be gone for most of the day guys(It's that time of the year!)but I will be checking back around 8 'ish Mtn time and I will let you guys know what's going on with it.I'm heading to Nova Scotia in 3 days until the end f the month,and I'd like to have this taken care of if I can before then. Cheers!

However, I can say after sitting in front of one back then for months probably, that 41½ years and two daughters later, I have not yet died of any attributable cause. Time will tell though. During the wander around Narre Warren last Saturday , I spotted these 19 sets sitting in the main shed . The two upper right ones are WW2 made , underneath them sits a post war example , with its darker grey/blue face . The two on the left are 1952 post war re-builds of WW2 sets , done here in OZ , they have duck egg blue faces . The right middle one has a RCA makers badge on it , made in good ol USA .
Horrible things ... ! try netting in a bumping tank . Mike

Mike I never had any problems with the 19 set at all...and have fathered severel children!you coyuld buy the sets here complete at £5.00. from the local radio shop in South-Shields when I was at radio school in 1965..then in the army the only time I saw the 19 sets where when the B Specials where using them in NI...our Foreman of Sigs used to have to repair them..in all those little fortified camps over the province...I was his driver bodyguard with my little sterling!Mike can you please pm me as i have obtained an OLGA suitcase set from Milorg/Norway WW2 and need some advise.regards from a cold North-Northumberland.malcolm
