Default Helmets...looking for

I decided I'd like to start collecting helmets from WW2. Nothing overly expencive just good wall art. I'm particularly interested in Canadian, US, and British lids.

If anyone has a lid or two they would like to dispose of I may be interested. I would like them complete with the straps and such but I would also be interested in just the tin if it's something neat and I can get parts for online.

Again I don't have oodles of cash but am willing to splurge..just a bit on a good lid. If you are in Southern Ontario I can probably run out to pick it up!

I currently have a British MkIII with liner but all other types are welcome. Netting and the like is also welcome.

I'm a 1/35 modeller so I may be able to trade resin and plastic for your lid.

Thanks
Sean

Please email me directly if you have something you think I might like.

Have a proper WWII Canadian produced 1942 dated helmet with chinstrap for $75. Can see it at the link below. Its at the end of the personal equipment section of the page.

Also have a mint and complete British WWI Brodie pattern helmet as used through early WWII. More rare to say the least but I don't have it on the web page. Price for it is $150 and I can take and post photos on request. Figure it is otherwise to be destined for eBay which is why I never got around to adding it to my own page.

Have you looked on evil-bay , there are nice ones there. I will dig through my collection and see if I have anything that you might be interested in.

This Saturday on June 23 there is the Etobicoke Olympian militaria show. I think it's called the Toronto Military Show. Doors open at 8:30 I think. There is also the OMVA show in Oshawa that same day

You would probably find some of what you are looking for there. I've also found lots at antique stores

Hi Sean, Before you put out any cash / trades, I would suggest that you pick up a reference book or two, or do some research online. David has a reference (see his site in the link above) and Service Publications has Roger Lucy's Tin Lids.
Helmets range greatly in price, with plain MK II's available at very reasonable prices, while authentic "painted" helmets being quite pricey. Be very careful, as there are many phoney painted / decaled helmets out there.

Default Thanks Everyone

I appreciate the help. I'll check out the show this weekend, sounds pretty neat Jordan. Thanks to Bill and David as well for the links and information.
As for evil bay Anthony I've gotten one off there so far a British MkIII which is quite nice.
