Default Blitz split rim studs and nuts

Hi has anyone run into the same problem i have with the split rim studs and nuts been rust pitted and some nuts just about stuffed
and if so how was it fixed or is their just bolts and nuts off the shelf that can be used to make it look like they should.

Thanks
Jason

I bought second hand bolts and nuts from Ross Prince and chased the threads with new tap and die.

That is the ones I was talking about also. I had to tidy up where the welds had been broken to get them out of old rims, weld them into my rims then chase the threads to make them easy to use.

Fairly certain Those studs are 7/8"-11 TPI, BSF threads as that was the type of die my brother-in-law borrowed from his workplace to clean up the threads for me on my Ford Blitz rims.

It would not be the easiest thread type to find at the local bolt supplier.

A good alternative is a thread restoring file. Have used one frequently with very good results. As long as the TPI is the same it does not matter what diameter is the stud/bolt/screw.

Cheers,

Jacques

Smile Studs

Waiting for GT to chime in here...
From memory Tony had some that were unserviceable, so he had some turned up by a local cleversmith.
