If you are looking for wireless battery boxes, I know I've posted some images/documents in past and will try to find and link to them.
The search was faster to get results than I'd expected. http://mapleleafup.net/forums/showth...reless+battery don't forget to look at the PDF attachment I posted for a summary of box dimensions.

Thanks very much for the link Grant. I've been reaming through it all. So far I haven't found dimensions specifically for the 12v 22ah. box. Regards Ron

Stupid Boy! I have one all along that was tucked away and I'd forgotten about

Here are the dimensions for anyone who needs them (It's had the handles removed, if anyone has any?)

12" W x 5 1/2" D x 9 3/4" H

Would you like the Niphan socket for the front of it?

(A bit bashed, as the person who removed it for me took a brute force approach, and it's off a 6V 40AH accumulator so you'll need to re-work the cabling, but otherwise complete.) Heat gun, "Chats" (or bitumen) and big soldering iron required. :-)

I have some black NOS handles @ £7.50 each. post extra... can take to Stoneleigh. Not sure if they fit all of the wooden radio battery boxes... certainly they were ok for the 12v ones I had.

Yes please Chris. Could you also advice about the lifting handles? This picture clearly shows a leather strap, yet mine has the four holes each side. Ron

Hi Ron,

You may be in luck here, as the 6V 40AH and 12V 22AH used a rubber strap rather than pair of metal handles, and this is fixed by a plate with four holes.

(I have seen a metal-cased example (bare shell) with a stamped steel handle in place of the strap, but that didn't look to be easy to use, and would rattle when carried (unless padded), as it rested against the side of the case.)

WFTW Volume 2 has drawings showing batteries, but some of them are the 6V 75AH and definitely not man portable!

(I'm still looking for some 12V 14AH ones to go with the pedal generator - so far I've only seen stripped cases without the rubber 2-pin sockets only used on those batteries.) I'd like a complete (even if dead) one for the hoard.

There are also two variants of the backpack carrier: original with straps that go all the way around the pack to hold the flap shut, and a modified version where the free (Tag) end has been sliced off the shoulder strap and stitched to the flap instead.

Best regards,
Chris.

Thanks again Chris. I'll check in my WFTW Vol 2 that you sent me for anymore evidence. My picture above came from Vol 1. (WS22) Ron

I made up the small plates and fitted a WW2 leather strap. Filled the drilled hole with wood filler and gave it a quick wipe over with French polish.

I'd like to buy the Niphan socket if you read this Chris. Ron
