Default Daimler armoured or scout car??

Do you mean the wee two seater Daimler scout car (at least one in Ontario) or the much larger armoured car (one privately owned in Alberta)?

I meant the large armoured car with the 2 pounder in the turret. So,there is one example in Alberta in private hands, correct?Does this collector have a website with photos of it?I think the RAC museum in England has one,and maybe the Imperial War Museum. There's very little info on them on the internet,a very neglected vehicle, and one of the best armoured cars of WWII.

who ever you are

Daimler Armoured Cars are relatively common in UK and European collections, having served in the British Army untill the early 1960's.

Bovington has both a Mk1 and 11 in its collection. Most other UK museum's also have examples.

enthusiastblue,
Did I read correctly that you had a stuart?
I have a ferret mk2/3 in Pincourt.
Can you please e-mail me, my buddies and I are thinking of starting an MV club in Montreal.
The OMVA is great, but I can't afford the fuel to the meets. (the old girl gets 6 MPG at best)

Hello All,

The 15th RECCE Daimler Scout Car can be seen at www.15threcce.org. We are planning to add to our collection two Daimler AC's in the future.

Cheers
Randy

Thanks to the people who put up the excellent photos, this is one thing I hoped to see on the net.I see the suspension is a double wishbone with coil springs, and that is the first interior shot I've ever seen on one.I will attempt to post some stowage illustrations on,but I'm not a computer expert.

Regards,
Bob Cohoon

Default Cobbaton Combat Collection

Preston Isaac has two in his collection in Devon. I was there on Tuesday and he was negotiating the sale of one of them.

Cheers! Mike
