Default Introduce myself.

Hy guy's.

I whant to say hello as a newbie, i am sorry if there are words not spelled right, it's a long long time ago, that i typed englisch.

Dutch guy he.

My intresses are big as long it is colourd green.

But i post a few pictures of my hobby.

Somethings i still have, some things are gone.

What i still have is a:

Daf ya 126 radioshelter.

This daf ya telexshelter is swapped for a daf ya 328 personelcarrier.

This on, where i am now trying to get my driverlicence for.

From this.

I builded this and is sold.

This on is rebuild, because it was in bad bad shape.
At the end it was on wheels also.
It's sold to south africa, for powering a internetcafe.

This one i have to rebuild, it's taken apart allready.

Rebuilded and sold.

This on is on standby in my shed.
It has 2 engines, 2e only runs when it really has to deliver power.

This one i am rebuilding right now, it's from the u.k. i found one on this forum, i have question about it, but i put it in this topic.

http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/showthread.php?t=322

I got more green stuff, but that are small things, nothing more to tell then i work in the harbour and with 6 more people in my town, we go to meetings with all sorts of vehicles, from the war and past the war.

With greetings from holland.

Ruud

Welcome to MLU, Ruud! We look forward to speaking with you a lot more... don't worry about your English, we can read it, but if you need help there are quite a few Dutchmen here who will be glad to add a word!

Thanx.

I have to do some reading here and there, so i can find out what intresses are here.

But it looks, you can put anything here, as long it's got to do with the army, past and present.

Hi Ruumar,
welcome to MLU.
We have a Duchman in our club and he has 3 DAF's here in Australia 1 x 4X4 and 2 x 6X6 the same as yours. I do not know much about them but they have a very interesting running gear.
Cheers
Jeff

Hi Ruumar:

Most interesting photos and I salute you for your dedication to the Green Machines.

Post War vehicles and support equipment are not my area of interest but you are doing a great job to preserve that time in history.

To your comment about your English, please do not worry, as others have said here. I was very lucky to have lived in Sweden, Peru and Canada when I worked for AB Volvo many years ago. That allowed me to at least learn a little bit of the Scandinavian languages, Spanish and a bit of Portuguese and of course, Canadian English.

I belong to many website forums that only use those languages and even if my Swedish or Norwegian or Spanish is not 100% correct, the other members are always very helpful in understanding and once in a while correcting my use of their language.

Regarding Canadian English, I am still trying to sort that out. My Canadian friends seem to go back and forth and cannot seem to decide if they should use British English, American English or their own mix of "Canadian English" with a bit of Quebecois French thrown in.

You are doing just fine, ruumar, please continue to keep us advised of your restoration projects.

Bill

Hello Jeff

My mistake, i found his website again and this completly rebuiled 328 is in canada.

It has taken him 6 1/2 years to compleet it.

But he has done a lot at it.

Some pictures of that are here.

Hello Bill.

Thanx for the compliment.

The 2 trucks i got are from 1956.

1 guy here has a Reo from the vietnam war, thats the one with a yellow nose.

And he has one with a crane on it.

The one with the crane on it has the small turbo, what a sound when he steps on the gas.

There are 3 people with cars from the war.

There all Dodge

The pictures from the dodge i have taken from the internet.
But the are exactly the same.

And there is one with a dodge where normal the general is sitting in the back.
