Default Ford CMP brake cylinder sizes

Hi Andy,

That is correct.

Front cylinders 1-3/8" bore and rear cylinders 1-1/2" bore.

Cheers

Andy,

Did you try Leegwater? Can bring them over for you as usual. Will be going to Tankfest end of June.

Cheers,

Hi Marc and Hanno,
Stefan tells me he has a cylinder and is coming back to me later this week, so I will let you know.
Problem is I am in Belgium for work but should be able to get on e-mail.
Cheers,

Andy

Default F60 size

Hi all,

May I quickly jump onto this thread and politely ask what are the correct size break cylinders for the F60 ? (Front and rear)

A rear cylinder on my F60 LAAT is sticking on and I need to investigate? Perhaps time to change all cylinders front and rear ? Can they be purchased here in the U.K. ? does anyone know any good suppliers over seas ?

Kind regards,

Mark

Hello Mark,

See Jacques' remark above: Front cylinders 1-3/8" bore and rear cylinders 1-1/2" bore.

Also search the thread "Modern Part Numbers for CMPs" for various supplier part numbers - here is one of the options: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...040#post123040

Dismantle the brakes and check the cylinders, if they are in good order you will only need new cups. Is the cylinder walls are pitted have them resleeved or buy new, complete cylinders off the shelf.

HTH,
Hanno

Rears are WC4511. A search on ebay shows plenty of them starting at around $45. If shipping gets obscene, you can also check rockauto.com for the same part number and see if that works out better.

Hello Andy,

The one I posted a photo of is used, but cleaned and repainted.

If it is of any use to you, I would gladly send it over to you for the cost of postage plus a small donation to MLU (to be determined by yourself).

Regards,
Hanno
