Wasp Carrier, Canvas cover?
Does anyone know of any period pictures showing Wasp carriers with a canvas cover fitted over the nozzle?
I bought the canvas cover attached a while back, which I think is a NOS cover for the nozzle of the Wasp carrier. It's marked "WASP COVERS SHROUD No2 Mk1 CM 6086" and dated 1944. Alex

Certainly looks to be the correct shape.

Jordan, Lynn, thanks for your replies.
Jordan; that's exaclty what I thought. Lynn; I have no idea why there is a difference in the number...I was also surprised to read "covers" in stead of "cover". regards, Alex

Perhaps the two covers was to do with what vehicle the WASP part was installed in. Wasn't the WASP turned upside down to fit in the RAM? Maybe this way the buckles/straps were kept on the bottom or top only?

I had one of those covers and sold it to Martin Tasker on here, maybe contact him as he was replicating a wasp carrier.
