Some additional info on the second photo, Matilda 91019 tank men in southern Bouganville digging in for the night as a protection against Japanese shelling. Left to Right, Tpr. R.W. will try and include some info shortly some additional info on the matilda, TDN 93900 Australian infantrymen inspectin a matilda tank knocked out by Japs on Bougainville. Kookaburra and Cossack
Hi Matt,
Great photos thanks for posting. Any idea which regiments Kookaburra and Cossack belong to? I have T72908 in my WD database but nothing in the unit field. Any additional info would be a help. Cheers Kevin

My interest in these was the involvment in the restoration of another of this batch, "Platypus" and I have been able to find quite a bit of information on them. I would be interested to see photos of any more of these, if you find them.

I remember some of these being base overhauled at REME workshops, where I worked at the time. They were nicknamed "the Magic Roundabout". A rare piece of equipment and I was not aware that other armies had them as well.
