I needed a pair of lunnettes for the two guns I picked up, and bought them from the link above. There was a difference in the style of nuts, but the rings themselves were identical to the Canadian version.

If your ring is worn, you can also take the old assembly to a trailer place who can cut the ring off and weld a replacement ring onto the bracket.

I think by the time they got here (I had to buy 2) it came out to about $220 total, so each of them came out to about $110 with shipping.

Are you missing one, or is it just worn out? I have my old ones that could be repaired by welding new rings on them, but by the time you did that, you would just about equal the ones at LWD.

ROB It is our original gun that we are pulling for the last 15 years.
I was told not to have it welds because it not good for the hardening of the metal.

A good welder will know exactly what to do to weld cast....they do it all the time. In the case of cast, you heat the metal to a certain temperature (I think it was around 450°) and use a particular rod. Again, a qualified welder will know all this. If you go to one of the trailer manufacturer/repair places in your neck of the woods, they will know exactly what to do. Just bring the lunette....you don't need to bring the whole gun.

Bob, I think your Lunette eye is for the M9 trailer used with G159 Diamond T tank transporter. A handy boat anchor too.
