Gun Mount Identity
Can someone identify this mount , I have seen it before but have forgotten what type of gun mounts on , maybe Boyes A/T ? , cheers

It is for the French mg. (French sounding name anyhow) I can't remember the name, but NZ bought quite a few between the wars, hence the mount in the LP2.
Starts with an S or a C, but not the kiwi built .303mg Edit; Ok. then, an "H"

There was the Chauchat, a French LMG that was reputed to be amongst the worst in the world, but I never heard of NZ using them in any quantity. The French Hotchkiss was used in reasonable numbers by NZ forces towards the end of WW1, and likely afterwards.

It is a gun mount for a Hotchkiss. I lent my mount to a collector who tried it with a Hotchkiss and it fitted ok.
