Wow.....
...and to think some people call us crazy for collecting a measly few CMPsssss......
At first it seems the guy had been fishing the bottom of the Seine to find all these old rusted bikes..... but keep on going.... by picture no 79... a Delahaye fire truck... in the background is a Dodge 6x6 which is not listed any where else.... then as you scroll down you get the impression someone has been digging up old battle grounds..... very carefully avoids any personal effects that could raise concerns about digging up graves.... some good pictures worth saving for future references.... Wonder what the prices will be??? Is any one from Europe likely to attend and report on prices... Bob

That is Alain Roudeix' collection being auctioned. Alain was a well known French collector - he literally picked the pieces from French battlefields and farmyards - who died earlier this year.
He's famous for saving the Tiger I tank at Vimoutiers from being scrapped. H.

Click here for the auction results.
Sure, 26 000€ for a Kübelwagen - but what is that in the background?

Hanno,
I was at the local kiosk today and had a look at the newest "After the Battle". There is a picture in there of Alain Roudeix with the same truck in the background. The rear of the cab seems to be from a Cab 11 or 12 CMP, but the nose does look strange..... Alex |
