Default Airportable C15TA

I found a small file with photos of airportable trials from at least February to April/May 1945 of a C15TA personnel carrier in a Hamilcar X Glider. These are in the Airborne Forces Museum in Aldershot. I am going to spend some time in their filing cabinets in due course and check out all their files on airportable WW2 vehicles.

Default airportable C15TA

David,

An airportable C15TA? That's very interesting - never heard about that before!

Somehow I missed your message when you posted it here over 6 months ago.

Did you find out more details in the meantime?

Thanks & regards,
Hanno

Default Not yet

Hanno, I am going to have to go to the Museum this year and check their files when I have time. There was a photo of course...I need the S/M contract number if it's in the files.

Default Airportable Carrier

David would you be able to take note of anything you may come across mentioning/showing an airportable carrier. I have drawings of it and equipment list as well as some photos but if there was anything else I'd be interested. Only if you come across it whilst you research your topic.

Thanks
Nigel
