Saw your comments on this on the Owning History thread and not sure if it helps. You can get her file from LAC and it will provide additional service details. Personal information will be blacked out, so if you are looking for an avenue to contact family it is unlikely to help. Since you presumably can't prove she is deceased, it has to go through ATIP to access. That's a hassle for the typical researcher, so I use Arnie Kay in Ottawa who knows the tricks. He charges a reasonable fee and has been recommended here by others. |

Thank you for that. Yes, we have been in touch with LAC on that, and a couple of other matters. You are correct, we do not even know if she is deceased. May try the private researcher you mentioned. As I said in the other forum, 'Who owns military history' we are just trying to put a face and some story to the empty uniform, that she actually did exist. |
