Default medical entries

Gents:

There was some conjecture on other family member's parts that there may have been treatment for "battle fatigue"

Can anyone suggest how this might appear in records? I think all the entries tally with what I know of his injuries and are explained in a treatment card I found in his records, but a friend of his that I contacted has him returning to UK from Italy "on leave" in 1944. I know this is rather unusual and that initially, at least, the doctors often sent men who were suffering from this malaise back to Blighty.

Anyone?

Cheers
