Going completely by fading memory, didn't a ship carrying M/T for the Canadians in Hong King get diverted to Australia once the situation there got ugly? That would account for early Canadian carriers.

Default Antenna

Also, noticed the antenna/base folded over to the horizontal position. And, the other vehicle parked to the Right of the Canadian carrier.

The SLV note says it is 1942 but I reckon some of these dates are guesses by whoever is digitizing the pic. The VDC was eventually disbanded , before the war's end.

The VDC also had youths in the ranks, these kids were too young too enlist in the AMF. The electronics teacher at Boronia Tech mentioned to me, as a 15 year old he was in the Queenscliff VDC unit - Dads army he called it.

You are right Bruce. I swear I saw a round tube at the top edge of the side armour, last time I looked.
I do have an appointment with the Ophthalmologist. That's the best excuse I can muster......
