Thumbs up Wanted Replacement Strainer Assy. (Fuel Filter)

Does anyone know of a Strainer Assembly (fuel filter cartridge) available to replace the original listed under Part No.'s 853874, superceded by Part No. 1595823 & superceded by Part No. 159831 as listed in the Chevrolet Ilustrated Parts List 15 CWT 4X4 Manual C15A-04 dated May 1945.
When I stripped the Fuel Filter Assembly (Part No. 1595854) there was no filter within the housing to use as a comparison.
I'd greatly appreciate any help, as I prefer to use the original Fuel Filter Assembly and not to install a modern adaption.
Thanks for any help in this matter.
Ted

Default Fuel filters

While in Weare, NH USA last July I purchased a NOS filter assembly ($65) used for $35 and a replacement filter and gasket assembly ($15)...... they were sold by one of the well known Jeep parts guys that advertises in the US MV magazine..... will look at the boxes I have but I am not sure they have any useful numbers...

Saw the same filters advertised in the MV magazine under Jeep listing. Will look at my old copies to find the specific names.

I was quite surprised to see that the CMP filters was (like a lot of other things) an off the shelf items that was used for various applications post WWII.

Hang in there.

Its a standard junior military filter, any jeep man will be able to supply them, either complete or as the filter stack of brass shims in a frame
