Hi Rob,

My guess is that since they don't look very military (unlike the 12 and 24 unit US ones), they have passed many of us by!

Thanks for posting and also to Doug for the pics!

(On a side note, does anyone know if this is just a Canadian kit or the same as the Australian trucks?).

Cheers,
Ian.

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't familiar with these. I'll keep my eyes peeled when I'm out and about and let you know if I find anything.

Default Stevens Company....

a Canadian company still in existence, I Facebooked the Ebay link to the historical part of their web page and I got a "LIKE" friom someone at their office. No reference to their connection to Canadian military history on that page.

I Emailed the seller of the EBay kit last night as to the size of the metal tin. His reply was 11cm long, 9cm wide and 6cm high. Very compact for a first aid box.

Just had this kit arrive. I'm very happy with it. Interestingly the tin is slightly more of a yellow colour then the other ones seen.

I found the tin this spring at a flea market but was empty. Nice to see what some of the contents look like in case I come across any of it!

My Mum had one of those Elastoplast tins in her sewing kit for years when I was growing up.
