Howdy chaps,
put my flatty in to the carrier the other day and discovered that a truck oil pan is too deep to fit and the motor sits about 2" too high on the motor mounts.
So does anyone have a carrier oil pan lying around they would part with?
Sean

Sean..
Barring a new one ,section it...Cut a couple of inches all the way around and mig it back together...cut it 1/2" BELOW THE LIP AND THEN CUT 2"'S OUT ALL THE WAY AROUND AND REWELD IT BACK TOGETHER,MAKING SURE THE INSIDE IS CLEAN BEFORE YOU PUT THE PAN BACK ON..
Have to change the pick up height on the oil pump and the dip stick length and oil limit marks..then if your crank clears you should be away.
