Mark II Bofors wheel nuts wanted
On the scrounge!
Trying to find 5 RH thread and 5 LH thread wheelnuts for the Commonwealth version of the Bofors Mk2 platform. These are common with the Morris-Commercial trucks and I understand them to be 5/8BSF threads. Anyone got some to sell? Even less than 5?

Wheel nuts
Hi Tony,
5/8 BSF is the same thread as Blitz wheel nuts if this helps. |

No, sadly, Blitz (aka CMP) wheel nuts are 5/8 UNF, while the divided rim nuts are 7/8 BSF (7/8-11). 5/8 UNF (18 tpi) is close enough to 5/8 BSF (14tpi) that I can't tap out a CMP nut and still have enough meat for a usable thread. Just for interest sakes, Land Rover series wheel nuts are 9/16 BSF, and while I could arguably tap them out to 5/8 BSF, the conical seat is not big enough for the stud hole and I'd have to make some form of collet to seat it.
Much easier to just buy the proper nut, if I can find them.
