Default Exhaust System

Hey All

Does anyone have any photos of the exhaust and muffler for a C15A or measurments? I have a 216 in my C15 and it had nothing for an exhaust just the exhaust manifold. I was lucky enough to find a guy at a muffler shop that wants to build one for me for free we just need to know the path it would or should be followed.

Thanks
Gary

Default Lube chart

Lube chart is the best I could find.....

It gives you a very good idea of how it was routed. If you can get done free by a local shop you are saving yourself at least $100......muffler is standard cheap round muffler...generic...from Canadian tire just match the inlet size.......

Hey Bob

Thank you very much for the quick response, that image looks perfect. I know I will be able to give it to the muffler guy and have it build it.

Thanks
Gary

Default First section exhaust header to muffler

Hi All

Please somebody correct me if I am wrong, I believe that first section of pipe exhaust header to muffler is identical to the standard Chev truck using the 216 engine. Difference between standard trucks seems to be in the horizontal length. I've got several HUP, C60L, C60S that have come off my trucks which I've used as patterns to have new ones made. Along with some standard Chevy that I have picked up. I'll see if I can make a tracing of them to day. If possible to make a tracing will report back.

Cheers Phil

Default First section exhaust header to muffler pictures

Hi Gary

Below is a picture of three different pipes from my HUPs showing the section exhaust header to muffler picture. The pipes are basically only bent in to planes nearly vertical and horizontal. I have made tracings of the pipe if they would be of use.

Cheers Phil

Hey Phil

Thanks for the picture, I think that between the picture you posted and then one from Bob the muffler guy should be able to fab up something for me.

Thanks for the post.
