end of a business
After 101 years a western Canadian surplus icon is closing it's doors. The Army and Navy stores (A&N Boutique ) close for good this month. Started in 1919 selling WW1 surplus, it grew into a chain of 9 stores. I can recall as a kid browsing the aisles of surplus uniforms and field gear. My brother bought one of the many Lee Enfields (still in cosmoline) for $5.
History of the company is here: https://www.armyandnavy.ca/pages/about-us |
