Default Military/HAM Radio in Winnipeg Area?

Hi all,

Does anyone in the Winnipeg area have a military or HAM radio? RT-524, PRC-25/77 or anything similar? If so, please reply here, PM me or email me at rotrhed @

Thank you for your consideration,

Hi Jason.

Quite a few military radios in the Winnipeg area. Most are probably not in working order, either because they have become cosmetic accessories for other equipment like vehicles, or their owners are not licensed to put them back on the air. No too many HAM's want to fiddle with them anymore as parts are so hard to find.

Several hundred HAMs in the Winnipeg area, but the vast majority of them moved away from surplus military rigs decades ago and are using modern solid state equipment.
