Default Do We Want an MLU Chatroom?

The suggestion has been brought up. I can't run one off MY server, but there is a good company out there which specializes in this which I can use... but you have to have Java enabled on your machine.

Do we want a chatroom, or is this forum sufficient?

Vote, please... this will be open until next weekend...

Phil,

I hadn't even thought of the idea until several brought it up... time zones CAN be a problem, coordinating the Aussies with the North Americans and the Brits/Europeans... you're right, it makes no sense if the majority can't play, and we'd have to single out a particular time once or twice per week to-start to see how it went.

Comments welcome, everyone.

Default It's probably worth a try

Not big on chatrooms myself, but if it could be set up and tried without too much hassle it's probably worth a bash.

I think the current Forum is sufficient.

Default Chatroom

I'm with Gordon - if it happens I'd give it a try but you'd probably miss a lot of the Aussies and others in the Southern Hemisphere.

Default Chatroom

Hi Geoff - I find I have enough to read just on the forum and combined with my research for replies I find this enough. The whole site provides me with more than enough overt and/or covert contact with the other members. Besides which, how much more do you want to take on. You would have to be "flat out like a lizard drinking" at the moment anyway.

Default I Like `AS IS'

HI!

I for one, think the current set up works
great as is. We have private messages which
work for when people don't have the time to `chat' but want to send a private message.

There are always the chat programs available
outside of this site, for people to use and chat
AOL for one...you know the one...the one with the little yellow figure

My vote is...Don't fix it if it works

Take care.

Count me in. I reckon there are always times when you need a little immediate sympathetic help from a like thinking person.
