Default Aust pre-WW2 Arty Manuals

Gunners et al

I have the following manuals that my late father had kept since his pre-WW2 days in the New South Wales (Sydney) based "First Ant-Aircraft Battery at Mosman."

(I recall proving Mike Cecil a few years ago with some piccies of the Thornycroft Hathi gun tractor (with gun) in use with/by the above unit in the Narrabeen sandhills, Sydney in the 1930's.)

Those manuals are:

ARTILLERY SURVEY (Australia)
- Paper No. 5 - "Triangulation" 1934/39;
- Paper No. 6 - "Astronomy for Artillery Surveyors" 1933;
- Paper No. 3 - "Computations" 1935;
- Paper No. 4 - "Traversing" 1939.

I also have a small booklet "The Guns of Anglesea" (Barracks, Tasmania) undated.

In the 1990's, Dad was a member of the North Head (Sydney) Arty Museum.

As I have no plans for traversing, astronomy, triangulations etc, in the near future, perhaps someone could suggest an organisation who might be interested in these Aust. Army publications.

Thanks

Bruce Gilbert
