Default 1969 Radio ?

Forgive my lack of radio knowledge but I am wondering what sort of radio would have been in a Canadian truck built in 1969. The vehicle was used as a test vehicle by the LETE people from 1969 to about 1971. There is a single 24 v. power wire & several mounting holes behind the driver's seat. There is no evidence of an antenna mount anywhere. I am guessing the radio had the antenna attached.
Thank you for any information.

Hello Frank, The radio was mounted behind the driver's seat. I have used the power line hole to mount a fuel selector valve & one of the mounting holes to fit a battery isolation switch. These are visible in the picture from above.
There is also a power outlet on the dash that could have been involved with a portable radio??

In my knowledge of tactical radios, there could have been two - the C42 or the RT524. Or, a commercial short range FM radio, like a big CB.

My money says 524. The C42s were relegated or about to be relegated to reserve force use by that time period. Mind you I cannot comment why there are no provisions for the AMU mounting. Perhaps they did not get that far.
