Default M-38 type jeep

well folks my M-38 type long wheel base jeep arrived today....its ex USAF at RAF Alconbury...however the ID plate has me stumped its stamped JEEP but everything else appears to be in French and Spanish(could this be an export model perhaps) vehicle is also R/H drive....marked CJ ~ then chasis number 611E17 then M-170....what kind person can tell me what the hell it is!best regards malcolm
