Default C15 question

I am in the process of repairing/restoring a C 15 wireless van for the Greece to Normandy run in 2009 and was wondering what the upper two hooks or brackets were for in the rear of the cab.
Have stripped the vehicle down to bare chassis and am repairing components and body as I go.
Regards
Jim S.

Default Headphones

Hi Jim

Could be for headphones/mic for the driver and his mate.... with a 19 set installation, the intercom may have been in use ?

I suggest you contact Andrew Tostevin in Adelaide, he is well clued up on the C15 Wireless ( Aust.) . He knows the ins and outs of them intimately.

I guess you have the storage diagram.. it details the various equipment layouts for different wireless sets - 101, 112, FS6, 19, 22 etc.

Mike

Default Cab brackets

Thanks Mike
It sounds logical that they were for some personal equipment of both the driver and the passenger ( radio h/phones , helmets etc).
What I was surprised to learn was that the wireless vans were equipped with a bren gun as standard .

Jim, see Cab 13 Storage Bag - Brian Asbury sells NOS ones. I have one and it is great.

Looking forward to see you and the van at Normandy!
