Default Canada 150

I have a suggestion, and it can be accomplished with a bit of work.
Heritage Canada, under the auspices of Canada 150 is throwing away tons of money at every Tom, Dick and Harry for this.
Form an organizing committee.
Select a central location in Ontario.
Plan outline for event.
Apply for grant/funding.
Round up every swinging MV owner and re-enactor in Ontario

With a bit of work and planning, it could be huge.

Default 150 event

There is one event planned for 2017 in Goderich Ontario, if any one is interested please contact me. The committee organizing the event has asked me to get WW 2 vehicles for the street parade. Website address is: www.dutch-canadiansremember.ca

The big big deal will be in Ottawa on 1st of July. Although there are few published plans for the day, you can bet there will be a crush of things going on. Therefore, I agree to avoid Ottawa or a major city. I would also suggest any auspicious date/weekend from WW2. It doesn't matter which, but pick one and set it in stone. Otherwise, every Tom, Dick and Harry will step on your planning.

I agree Terry. The Ottawa event will be huge, and no doubt will receive multi-millions for the event. However, despite a clash in dates it could be done. Planning committee, then choose a central location in a municipality willing to host. Round up every single person in the loop. Not a last hurrah, but it could be a stunning event and tribute. Grapevine says Coe Hill is done, tired war-horses and no more government funding. As we all are getting.
Lest We Forget.
