Default Army News Video: RCD & Kangaroos too

Hi

This Dutch town was liberated by the RCD on 15 Apr 1945 and every year on that date the town raises the Regt's Flag and the Regt raises the flag of the town. The RCD hols a Leeuwarden Parade every year to do this as a Regt and some of our deployed Sqns do it as well.

Prev mention in a post by hanno a few years back:

A video of the Parade:

The attched link has video as well that shows Kangaroos on the move.

And it just so happens that 15 April is my youngest's Birthday; no, her name is not Leigh or Lee!! Wife put her foot down there!!! Killjoy!!

regards
Darrell

Darrell: Are you aware of the guidon presentation to be made to 1CACR in St Thomas in Sep of this year?

Since the Elgins formed the officer corps for the ramp up of this unit, the guidon will have its presentation and subsequent laying up in 31 CER (The Elgins)' Officer's Mess.

There is a full slate of planned activities including the possibility of dedication of a surviving "Kangaroo" on site.

Hi Jon

Yes, I had cued in on a couple of references here and on a few other Fora. Sounds like it will be a great time and I wish it all the success.

Sorry to say that Onterrible.......err sorry, Onscario........ummm rather Ontario, is not in my plans this year. As soon as the kids passports arrive.............. Although as much fun as it would be to return to the town/armoury that I lived/worked in, we're going somewhere hot.

Is my Lynx/Chinook picture still in the JRs, I wonder?

regards
Darrell
