19-Set Production
This wireless set played an important part in the Allied war effort. Production seems to have started with Pye Corporation in England and spread to Canada and the United States early in World War Two. Did production take place in any other Commonwealth countries during the war?

Also made in Australia.
Currently reading "British Army Signals in the Second World War" and they state a total production of 115,000 sets. |

A good number of them have survived , I had 5 at one time . The unique AWA style switch knobs were also seen on the AWA No. 11 sets . The set had cotton covered wiring and the poor quality paper type caps were everywhere . It was a nightmare to repair with multi layered boards underneath each other, making access to components almost impossible . Mike
