Default CMPs in PNG

Hello again wise ones.
Am looking to restore my latest C15A to represent one used in New Guinea.
As luck would have it I have met a veteran who served in that area - he has a very sharp memory and recalled the Blitzes as starting off being green and then changing to "a camouflage scheme using brown over the green".
He served with the 2/19 infantry battalion (escaped Singapore in his PJs) and went on to man spotlights towed behind Blitzes in PNG.
Can anyone shed some light(!) on what colours and pattern I will be using and what the unit markings would have been for a typical vehicle?
Photos or directions to relevant AWM etc archives much appreciated.
