Default Dame Vera Lynn

I was most fortunate to meet her and get an autograph during the 1984 40th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. BBC Breakfast TV was broadcasting live from the waterfront at Arrowmanches-les-Bains and requested to have several Commonwealth re-enactors with her as she sang some of her iconic wartime songs. I was one of those re-enactors and managed to take this photograph of her during the melee following the performance.
