Default carter w1 main jet# for 216

Anyone would happen to know what is the main jet # for the carter W1 for a 216 ?

some morron welded stuff in ours and drilled it back and i cannot read the size number anymore so that complicates a bit the "rebuild" of the carb...

i found several diagrams and various info but nothing specific to the # jetting
fwiw i have a 69-44 rod so its the "standard" one, not the leaner one.

at last if i could get a picture of one not welded and the diameter of the orifice i could probably fix it properly...

thanks for any info.

Default Which W-1

Hi

Glad you found the information you were looking for, a question which W-1 do you have the early or late? One has a tin top (carb on the left) the other (carb on the right) has a cast pot-metal top.

A quick look at the carb sheet link you posted, I didn't spot if there was a difference depending on the application car vs heavy truck. Also going to the part sheet what number part were you looking for?

Cheers Phil

hi, i have the one with the metal cover and stamped 365 under the casing.
among the 3 or 4 manuals i found like the one in the link, they all refer to a 0,095" diameter orifice of the main jet.
there is no pn found for that jet specifically so i fabricated*one. works like a champ.
