Default Identify this tac sign......please!

The front of my Mk. 1 carrier has this tac sign barely visible.

It is 9" wide by 9 1/2" high. diagonal separation with red on
one side and blue on the other.

See photo for better detail than I can describe.

If it was Australian and 1943 according to Stephen Taubert's book

Red over Blue but horizontal is artillery while Red over Green diagonal is infantry support and transport.

Could the blue have been a faded green?

Peter
From your post you identify Red over Blue although it appears to me like Red over Green.
Red/Green diagonal is RASC Transport I believe.
Red over Blue horizontal is usually artillery of some sort.

hi Chris,
With the diagonal top right to bottom left I do not believe this is RASC (UK) as they are opposite to this, but have a feeling the Canadian Service Corps was angled as this Carrier's sign.

Default Arm of Service Marking

As has already been stated, it can only be red over green diagonal, which means that it is a Royal Canadian Army Service Corps AoS marking.
